Reciprocal Borrowing Policy and Procedures

University College Library allows Reciprocal Borrowing for students and faculty of other public State of Florida community colleges, state colleges, and universities. The borrower must be currently registered as a student or presently employed at one of the public Florida institutions and provide their current home institution's library card and picture ID at the UCL Circulation Desk.

 

  • Your institution ID-card is the card used to check out materials from the University College Library. As the borrower, you are responsible for all items charged to your card and are responsible for the safe return of all library materials.
  • Borrowed materials must be returned directly to the University College Library.
  • Reciprocal Borrowers must observe all UCL policies, fines, and charges.
  • Delinquent borrowers will be sent an overdue notice and his/her home institution will be notified.

Please note: reciprocal borrowing only applies to our print library materials. E-resources are not accessible.

Loan Periods for Reciprocal Borrowers

  • Books are checked out for 21 days
  • Limit of 5 books per patron
  • No renewal of library materials
  • No Interlibrary Loan privileges
  • No loans of materials or equipment in the Academic Success Center
