What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
ILL is a service provided by the University/College Library (UCL) to further the scholarly research of its faculty, students, and staff by obtaining research materials that are not owned by our library.
Who is eligible to use this service?
ILL is available to current faculty, students and staff at Broward College and Florida Atlantic University's Davie Campus.
What if FAU is my home institution and I need to borrow material from another FAU Library?

- New books received within one year of the acquisition date

How long does it take?
- Book requests: 5 to 10 days
- Article requests: 2 to 3 days
How can I speed up the process?
Before submitting an ILL request, see if the book or article you want is available from the U/C Library.
Does it cost anything?
Most ILL requests are free to the person making the request. The request form has a check box to indicate that you don't want to pay in the rare case where there might be a fee. Simply choose "No, borrow the item only if it's free."
How will I be notified about my ILL?
We will call or e-mail you when your material arrives.
