This guide contains information from the Office of the Dean of Libraries and Academic Success Centers for Broward College.

Libraries are a place for learning outside the classroom and for the free exchange of ideas and we are privileged to be your hosts in those endeavors. I am honored to serve as the Dean, Libraries and Academic Success Centers, having previously worked as Associate Dean of Public Services and as Librarian in the University/College Library (UCL) during my Broward College career. The role of the UCL Dean has been expanded to combine leadership of the UCL with our North and South Campus libraries and our Academic Success Centers (ASC’s) on those campuses. I am excited to guide our team in shaping the future of our College library system and ASC’s.

Here are just a few of the ways we are serving the College and our students:

  • Our librarians are working on the College’s Pathways Communities teams which are helping shape more efficient Career Pathways for our students.
  • We are involved in the First Year Experience (FYE) program, with some of our faculty teaching classes for new students or serving as guest lecturers.
  • In addition to our many traditional library services, our staff continues to serve students daily with instructional services, technical services, and tutoring in multiple subject areas through our Academic Success Centers.
  • Just as technology has transformed our lives, it also impacts the way we learn and access information. We are focused on providing more accessibility to new technology in the future.

I am proud to work with such a talented and engaged team and I hope to further position us as a vital part of the success of our students.
