Welcome to Broward College Libraries! The Academic Resources Team (Broward College Libraries and Academic Success Centers) is committed to providing support in and out of the classroom that will assist students with attaining their academic goals. As Dean of Libraries and Academic Success Centers (ASC), I have the pleasure of promoting the BC Libraries and ASCs to ensure our team is entrenched in the academic pathways and all other areas of the college.
Our faculty librarians work in partnership with teaching faculty to support students in Broward College’s eight guided pathways. Students who visit the library have access to technology, research appointments, study spaces, information literacy, community engagement, and more. During the year, we host outreach events for Broward College and Florida Atlantic University students, faculty, and staff to provide our patrons with information about our resources and services. Broward College and Florida Atlantic University students can make face-to-face or virtual one-on-one appointments for assistance with research and citations by visiting http://broward.libcal.com/appointments.
In addition, the senior curriculum specialists in our Academic Success Centers are devoted to supporting the eight guided pathways. The centers offer students tutoring, study spaces, access to technology, and other academic support services. Broward College students can make face-to-face or virtual one-on-one tutoring appointments, submit a paper for review by a tutor, and attend a workshop or exam review. The Academic Resources Team serves on several state, regional, and local consortiums to collaborate with colleagues on ways to further support student needs. I am excited to continue to serve our college community and partners. I hope to see you soon at one of our locations.
