Through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), higher education faculty learn about and add to the professional literature about pedagogy. By looking at our teaching through a critical lens, we can develop more intentional, effective, and engaging research-based teaching strategies. The ultimate goal of SoTL is to improve the quality of our teaching so to increase our students' learning and success.
Participating in SoTL through development of research studies, publication, and presentations will add to the field of research with which our colleagues and academic peers can engage.
