About Vegetarianism

PETA Art Exhibit

Humans are classified as omnivorous creatures, meaning they are capable of surviving on a variety of food sources and thrive on a broad-spectrum diet that includes grains, fruits, vegetables, and protein. People who are vegetarians, in the simplest terms, do not eat meat. However, different cultures and individuals can have their own distinct understanding of what constitutes vegetarianism. Terms such as meat can also have more than one accepted definition among different groups. For these reasons, some diets that may be considered vegetarian by one person or culture might not be identified that way by another. (Opposing Viewpoints)
