Emeritus Library Card and Privileges

The University/College Library extends book borrowing privileges to retired full-time faculty, staff, and administrators who are in good standing upon retirement.  Individuals with this specially designated retiree College ID card must observe all U/CL policies, fines, and charges. It is non-transferable and only accepted to check out materials from the U/C Library on Central Campus.

Borrower Responsibilities

The borrower is responsible for all items charged to the the card and is responsible for the safe return of all library materials. If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged, the card holder is responsible for all replacement costs. Appropriate posted fines and fees are applicable for overdue materials, reprocessing, rebinding, or lost items.

Loan Period for Emeritus Borrowers

  • Books may be borrowed for 21 days.
  • There is a limit of 5 books per patron.
  • Renewals are not permitted.
  • Interlibrary Loan service is not provided.
  • Materials or equipment in the Academic Success Center are not included.
  • Borrowed materials must be returned directly to the University/College Library.
