For this assignment, choose ONE of the following options:

1. Find an actual company where a real problem exists in its business. Write a recommendation report proposing how to fix this specific problem.

2. Imagine that you work for a group of real estate investors. Write a recommendation proposal on whether these investors should consider purchasing large amounts of the available high-rise condos in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Aventura, Miami Beach, downtown Miami, or any other area of South Florida to be used either as rentals or with the purpose of reselling within a three years.

3. Imagine that you work for the Broward County Commission. Write a recommendation report for Broward County that discusses actions the county government can take to help improve housing affordability for residents within the county.

4. Imagine that you work for a political committee in the Florida Legislature. Write a recommendation report as to how the state should proceed with its efforts to restore the Everglades.

5. Imagine that you work for a political candidate. Write a recommendation report on what (if any) actions should be taken to reform Social Security or Medicare to ensure their long-term viability.

6. Write a report about a new technology in your specific industry/field to determine its anticipated impact and make recommendations for how the industry/field should respond to this technology.

7. Find an actual company where worker productivity and/or worker morale is low. Write a report proposing how management can better improve productivity and/or morale without negatively impacting the company’s budget.

8. Imagine that your work for the American Nurses Association. Write a recommendation report that will propose how to improve upon the shortfall of available nurses in the healthcare industry.

9. You may create a variation on the above options IF you get prior approval by your professor.

• You must include research sources, with at least 5 legitimate academic sources that are available outside of a specific company. In addition to this, you may use information that is available only within a company. All research sources must be properly cited via APA format. This will require both in-text (or “parenthetical”) citations AND a References page. If your research is not cited in APA format, you will not earn a passing grade on this assignment..
• The minimum length of this report is at least 1250 words (approximately 4 to 5 pages) from “Introduction” through “Recommendations” with each new section beginning after one blank line, not each on their own page. Beyond these pages, you must have separate pages for a cover page, abstract, table of contents, references pages, and any necessary graphics or appendices. 
• You must use 1-inch margins, double-space (except for block quotes, which are single-spaced), and use a font of Times New Roman 12 or Arial 10.
