Your Owl Card is your library card and enables you to borrow library materials and access online electronic databases and journals from off-campus. The card must be activated at the Circulation Desk. This is a one-time procedure that takes less than a minute and is done in person for the protection of the cardholder. Go to the Owl Card Services page for more information on its uses on campus.
The FAU open lab offers computer access, printing, and photocopying services for FAU students. It is located on the first floor of the U/C Library near the Reference Desk.
There are 20 desktop PCs located in the FAU open lab on the first floor of the University/College Library.
To use any of these computers, you will be required to login using your FAUNet ID
In the library, Visitor Cards cost $1.00 and have no value on them. You may add money to both the Owl Card and the Visitor Card at these same Cash to Card Machines.
Black and white printing is $0.05, paid by Owl Card or Visitor Card only.
Black and white photocopies are $0.05 paid by Owl Card or Visitor Card only.

A Cash to Card machine is located inside the FAU open lab and it accepts $1 dollar bills only. Change is available in the Bookstore in Building 19. Library staff cannot make change.
