Reciprocal Borrowing from Public Colleges and Universities in Florida

The University/College Library allows Reciprocal Borrowing for faculty and students of other public Florida state colleges and universities. The borrower must be currently registered as a student or presently employed at one of the public Florida institutions and provide their current home institution's library card and picture ID at the U/CL Circulation Desk.

Borrowed materials must be returned directly to the University/College Library.

Reciprocal Borrowers must observe all U/CL policies, fines, and charges.

Delinquent borrowers will be sent an overdue notice and his/her home institution will be notified.

Loan Periods for Reciprocal Borrowers

  • Books checked out for 21 days
  • Limit of 5 books
  • No renewals
  • No interlibrary loan privileges
  • No loans of ASC materials or equipment

SEFLIN Library Card Program

Students, faculty members, and professional library staff of participating SEFLIN member libraries may be eligible to participate in the SEFLIN Library Card Program. The card introduces the holder to another lending library and provides borrowing privileges.
 
The University/College Library honors SEFLIN cards from patrons of participating SEFLIN member institutions. SEFLIN Library Cards are issued by your home institution and card holders must observe all U/CL policies, fines, and charges.

Loan Period for SEFLIN Borrowers

  • Books may be borrowed for 21 days.
  • There is a limit of 5 books per patron.
  • Renewals are not permitted.
  • Interlibrary Loan is not provided to SEFLIN Borrowers
  • ASC materials or equipment are not provided to SEFLIN Borrowers.

SEFLIN Borrower Responsibilities

Your SEFLIN card is the non-transferable card used to check out materials from the U/C Library on Central/Davie Campus. Borrowers are responsible for all items charged to their card and are responsible for the safe return of all library materials. If an item is lost, stolen, or damaged, the card holder is responsible for all replacement costs.

Appropriate posted fines and fees are applicable for overdue materials, reprocessing, rebinding, or lost items.

The willful mutilation or unauthorized removal of Library or Learning Resources materials may result in severe disciplinary and/or legal action.
